Haaretz nonchalantly writes about the USA government bringing a lawsuit against the village of Suffern for its religious discrimnation towards Charedim. Funny, in Isreal the opposite happens every day. The State, Nuremberg style, advocates the secular in preventing religious people from stepping in to their community. The “Religious Coercion” issue is a lot of bull. Please give me one example of Chabad settling into a community and proposing any anti-secular measures. There are none. Yet Chabad has been contniually thrown out of secular neighborhoods ala Nazi Germany 1938.
While I lived in Tel Aviv as a secular Jew I witnessed horrid scenes such as a berded, black hatted, Charedi walking on the boardwalk and being yelled at “Go back to Bnai Brak! I was in shock. The only other time I felt like that was when I was attacked by five Muslims in a Paris metro, in 1995 while wearing a yarmulka, screaming Sale Juif!
